After yesterdays school shooting in Chicago it got me thinking more about the Jena 6 case again. The issue of protecting our children is not been taken seriously either the schools or the federal government. A city of the federal government, rather than to state governments, because this should fall under Homeland security.
To me it is obvious that there are two big mistakes in the Jena 6 case, or should I say cases, that should be obvious to every one. Those are, #1) that whom there was no prosecution, in the first case of the first that put the nooses on the tree, his number two that there was no prosecution in the case battery involving the six persons, who became upset because of the original incident in.
What you should note that when, it is that the original crime should have been prosecuted as a terrorist act. That right, as a terrorist act. Any threats, but she occurred in a school or on the school grounds, which threaten or imply estimate towards any others to do should be prosecuted under federal law as a terrorist threat. If a student knows can be locked up as an enemy combatant or other serious felony count on you will be a deterrent. Of course, it will require federal and state laws been enacted.
What's the difference between some student and sending in mouth, brand-name bringing or bomb to school, and then leaving a noose on a tree? There are just too many young lives at risk, based on the number of school and university shootings that are happening, to look at these situations as simple misdemeanors. Their world is just different now. If this were the case after the original crime involving the nooses, then the second incident in this situation might never have happened.
Regarding the crime/beating involving the Jena 6 defendants, this incident should have been prosecuted like any other crime that occurs on the school grounds based on State and or Federal Law, with no regard as to what the race of the two defendants is.
With one of the "Jena 6" being arrested on a probation violation, related to the act he was not charged with, maybe its time to re-charge those involved in the "noose" incident too. If you're asking if this writter is a Conservative... you bet I am. Which means that I make my decisions, and support justice and public safety, without regard to color or ethnicity.
Is this a hard-line stance? Absolutely. It's what's necessary to protect your children and mine. If all threats at schools aren't investigated and handled as terrorist threats, whether the threat is from a student or from the outside, then students and teachers are less likely to die. That's just the way it is.
If you disagree, are you willing to bet your child's life?

Lead found in toys, backpacks in U.S. stores
As I brought up in one of my original blogs over a year ago, we need to keep Chinese import out of the U.S.A. The below story, as everyone knows by now, is just one of numerous tainted and dangerous products--mostly which are marketed for small children. The motto of the Chinese government could be "Get the lead out!" Isn't it obvious by now that we should have our own motto, here in the U.S.A... How's "Keep the lead out" for a start. Testing of all Products from China, which are to be worn, touched or eaten by anything or anybody (of any age), should be madatory. Then considerable import tariffs should be attached to all Chinese imports. More on what to use those tariffs for later.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A Curious George doll bought at Toys "R" Us was found to be tainted with 10 times the legally-allowed lead level, and vinyl lunch boxes and backpacks also had high amounts of lead, the nonprofit group Center for Environmental Health said on Wednesday.
Entertainment Group Inc, the Oakland, California-based group said in a statement. A Marvel spokesman said he was unaware of the advocacy group's finding and had no immediate comment.
Millions of toys made in China have been recalled over the last three months due to unsafe levels of lead paint, which is toxic and can pose serious health risks, including brain damage, in children.
The Center for Environmental Health also said it found high lead levels in vinyl lunch boxes and backpacks made by Sassafras Enterprises of Chicago.
The group filed a legal notice accusing privately-owned Sassafras of violating a 1986 California law that prohibits exposing consumers to carcinogens without warning.
A spokeswoman for Sassafras said the company tests its products for lead and that she was unaware of the group's statement.
The advocacy group also notified 10 retail store chains that they were selling toys with excessive lead in violation of the California law.
The stores were Toys "R" Us, Wal-Mart Stores Inc, Kmart, Sears, KB Toys, Target, RC2 Corp, Michael's Stores Inc, Costco Wholesale Corp and Kids II Inc.
Michael Green, executive director of the center, said the legal notices were the first step in potential lawsuits against the companies.
"We want companies to test for lead before selling these items," Green said. "The federal government isn't doing its job."
Democrats in the U.S. Senate and House this month introduced legislation that would virtually ban lead from toys and other goods used by children younger than six. Lawmakers have criticized the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission for not doing enough to protect children from excessive lead.
The Center for Environmental Health took similar action when it found unsafe levels of lead in vinyl bibs at Wal-Mart and Toys "R" Us stores in California, which resulted in both retailers pulling all vinyl bibs from their shelves nationwide, Green said.
Toys "R" Us is owned by a consortium that includes Bain Capital Partners LLC, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co and Vornado Realty Trust.

"I Told You So" is an Understatement Again
I didn't even have to wait a day since the "Oregon Teacher" who is fighting to carry her gun--with a permit-- before another school shooting proved my point on this topic. "Success Tech Academy" in Cleveland, today joins Columbine, Virginia Tech and others, as being forever know for only one thing... School Shootings and death.
As a former COP, it's obvious to me that it doesn't matter what the teacher's motives are for wanting to carry a gun to her work (school). In fact it is a completely moot point. Teachers which can pass a background check (which I hope all teachers have to do anyway), and a psychological profile, and/or any other CWP requirements of the State they live in, should be allowed AND encouraged to carry a concealed firearm in the school/classroom/on campus.
Liberals will continue to say NO to teachers carrying guns. Until they are the teacher with a crazed student bursting into their class will no way to prevent themselves or their students from being murdered... except to try to talk the psycho out of it.
This is the same mentallity as trying to talk terrorists out of killing us, which they are doing because they've been brainwashed since the age of two, only because we believe differently than they do--as to religion.
When a student, or anyone is brainwashed or just snap, as is the case in most school shootings it is too late for talk. Especially when they've had enough time to plan it out in advance, they simply don't listen to someone trying to reason with them. The argument that teachers shouldn't bring guns (concealed) simply doesn't make sense, when any student--in most schools in the US--can just walk into their school WITH a gun and start killing innocent teachers and students who are UNARMED. Even if it only saves on child/teacher, isn't it worth it? If you answer no, then consider if it were your child who was murdered and quit spewing your liberal lies. Or maybe the police and military shoot give up their guns right behind all the law abiding citizens... It's exactly the same argument, and its beyond just being wrong... it is insane!
